Privacy Policy

Introduction

Blastervla Enterprises LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Bloomstead ("App") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our app and website ("Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

Bloomstead is a personal gratitude and journaling app. Your entries are private by default. We do not sell your journal content, and we do not use your journal content for advertising or model training.

Information We Collect

1) Journal Content (Local by Default)

Your journal entries, photos, and related content are stored locally on your device by default. If you enable the optional cloud backup feature (a premium feature), your data will be transmitted to and stored on our service providers to provide that functionality.

2) Account & Contact Information

If you create an account or contact us, we may collect information such as your email address and display name, which we use to operate the Services and respond to you.

3) Subscription & Purchase Data

Purchases (e.g., subscriptions, one-time themes) are processed by the applicable app store (Google Play or Apple App Store). We may receive purchase status and identifiers from the store or a purchase provider (e.g., RevenueCat) to verify entitlements and provide premium features.

4) Usage, Diagnostics & Crash Data

We may collect non-personal information such as device model, OS version, app version, screens visited, and event counts. If the app crashes, crash logs may be sent to help us identify and fix issues.

5) Advertising Data (Free Tier)

The free version may display ads delivered by third-party ad networks (e.g., Google AdMob). These services may collect device identifiers, coarse location, and engagement data to show and measure ads. Depending on your region, you may be asked for consent for personalized ads. You can change your ad preferences via your device’s system settings and any in-app consent prompts.

6) Cookies & Website Data

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for functionality, analytics, or performance. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but disabling them may affect site functionality.

How We Use Information

  • To operate core features (e.g., local journaling, optional cloud backup)
  • To provide premium entitlements and verify purchases
  • To display and measure advertising in the free tier
  • To analyze performance, fix bugs, and improve the App
  • To communicate with you (support, updates, and policy changes)

We do not use your private journal content for targeted advertising or model training.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party processors to provide parts of the Services. These may include:

  • App stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) for distribution and payments
  • RevenueCat (or similar) for subscription and entitlement management
  • Firebase/Google Analytics for usage analytics (aggregated, app-level metrics)
  • Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting
  • Google AdMob (or similar) for advertising
  • Cloud and storage providers (e.g., AWS/S3) for optional backups

These services operate under their own privacy policies. Where required, we surface consent flows or settings to honor your choices (e.g., ad personalization).

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

  • With service providers who process data on our behalf to operate the Services
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (your information may be transferred as part of the transaction)

Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. For optional cloud backups, we retain your data while your account and/or subscription remain active. If you cancel a subscription or request deletion, we may delete associated cloud data after a reasonable period unless we are required by law to retain it. Crash/analytics data may be retained for a limited period to improve the App.

Security

We take commercially reasonable measures to help protect information and may employ industry-standard practices where feasible. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, keeping software updated, and protecting your account credentials.

International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. By using the Services, you consent to such transfers, which may be subject to different data protection laws than those in your country of residence.

Your Choices & Rights

  • Access/Correction/Deletion: You can edit or delete local entries in the App. For cloud backups or account data, contact contact@blastervla.com.
  • Ad Preferences: Manage personalized ad settings via your device settings and any in-app consent prompts.
  • Analytics/Crash Reporting: Your OS or the App may offer settings to limit analytics or diagnostics collection.
  • Export: If the App provides an export feature, you may export your content locally. Otherwise, contact us for assistance where required by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA/CPRA). We will honor applicable legal rights upon verifiable request.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at contact@blastervla.com so we can delete it.

Links to External Sites

The Services may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or practices. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before engaging with them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be posted within the Services, and we may provide in-app notices for significant changes. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
